We’re expecting that you are here with the goal of becoming a first time home buyer.  Our goal is to make it just a little bit less confusing.

You’ll run into two authors on this site.  We are Andrew Luett and Chris Richter.  We’ve been long-term friends and work together as Luett Mortgage Group, a production unit of Wintrust Mortgage, to help you find the right loan for your needs and life plan.

The loans for first time home buyers are both more and less complicated than the loan you’ll need on subsequent homes.  It is slightly more confusing because every state has its own first time home buyer program.  That’s not too bad, odds are you’re only looking in one state.  We have a full list of the state programs for first time home buyers.
